Aleka Stamatiadi is a PhD candidate in Journalism and Mass Media Communication at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She examines the popular television culture of modern Greece and in particular the case of the television channel “Mega”. She holds a BA in Communication and Media, University of Athens, and has studied Political Communication at the same university at Master’s level. Her research interests revolve around popular and Greek television culture, relationship between the public and the private, mass media and digital journalism and sexualities. She works as a journalist in Megara, Greece.
