  • I happened to be on the Roof of the Terminal Building at Newark Airport in April 1939 and I observed Albert Einstein getting off a TWA DC-3 and then some people met him on the Tarmac so that they had a meeting about half way between the Plane and the Terminal Building. Since I was there with a camera and was observing Meteorological Equipment on the Roof, I was in the right place at the right time. This was about 4 months before he wrote the letter to FDR about his advice that it would be possible to build an Atomic Bomb and finally got FDR attention, starting the Manhattan Project to build the Bomb which ended WWII. (8 October 2010)
