Public domain According to the Romanian Law on Copyright and Neighboring Rights Law no. 8/1996 of March 14, 1996 with further amendments Chapter 3 Article 9 the following documents shall not benefit from the legal protection accorded to copyright:

  • The photographs of letters, deeds, documents of any kind, technical drawings and other similar papers shall not benefit from the legal protection accorded to copyright.

Therefore this image is assumed to be in the public domain worldwide, although some of the above categories may be subject to usage restrictions within Romania.

Română: Descrierea stemei:

Stema municipiului Miercurea - Ciuc se compune dintr-un scut triunghiular argintiu cu marginile rotunjite. În vârful scutului, se află o inimă roşie din care se înalţă trei fire de floare “de nu mă uita”; fiecare fir de floare are tulpină, frunzuliţe de culoare verde şi floare albastră.

Scutul este trimbrat de o coroană murală de argint cu şapte turnuri crenelate.

Semnificaţia elementelor însumate:

Localitatea avea stemă şi sigiliu încă din secolul al XVIII-lea, prezentând trei flori “de nu mă uita”, ieşind dintr-o inimă. Inima simbolizează mărinimia, iar florile reprezintă onestitatea locuitorilor.

Coroana murală cu şapte turnuri crenelate semnifică faptul că localitatea are rangul de municipiu reşedinţă de judeţ.
