Το The Anthology είναι ο τίτλος της διπλής συλλογής τραγουδιών του χαρντ ροκ συγκροτήματος Deep Purple, η οποία κυκλοφόρησε ως δίσκος βινυλίου τον Ιούλιο του 1985. Επανεκδόθηκε σε μορφή διπλού CD το 1991 από την εταιρεία "EMI".

Η αρχική κυκλοφορία περιλαμβάνει κομμάτια τα οποία δεν είχαν εκδοθεί στο παρελθόν (πριν το 1985), κάτι που δεν συμβαίνει με την μετέπειτα έκδοση σε CD.[1]

Τα τραγούδια που συμπεριλαμβάνει η συλλογή αυτή προέρχονται από τέσσερις διαφορετικές εποχές του συγκροτήματος: την Mark I (1968-1969), την Mark II (1969-1973), την Mark III (1973-1975) και την Mark IV (1975-1976).[2]
